Illuminate Gettysburg

Illuminate Gettysburg is a holistic festival with free workshops, hosted in the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania area.
We are here to enlighten our community to alternative healing practitioners, modalities, and products including:

  • ACUPUNCTURE – Acupuncture can treat a range of conditions such as anxiety, depression, pain, PTSD, ADD/ADHD, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and more, including support for smoking cessation.  It works by stimulating specific points along meridians in the body with thin needles.
  • ANGEL COMMUNICATORS – Angels are Divine beings of Light, and can be found in many religious traditions. Their messages bring hope, joy, and love to our planet.
  • CRYSTALS – Crystals can help bring feelings of well-being to all areas of life. Their healing properties can help cleanse and support your energy field, as well as help you manifest what you desire.
  • ESSENTIAL OILS – Essential oils are natural aromatic compounds and are used to help the body heal itself of various ailments, as well as enhance the user’s life through topical application or aromatherapy.
  • LUXURIOUS SPA PRODUCTS – Skin, haircare, cosmetics, home and pet products featuring natural, eco-friendly ingredients and local purveyors.
  • MASSAGE– Massage is the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using various techniques to aid in the healing process, and to promote well-being.
  • INTUITIVE READERS – Our vetted intuitive readers are naturally gifted practitioners offering information about topics such as health, career, and relationships. Our readers only work with Light energies and positive messages.
  • REIKI – Reiki uses a technique commonly called “hands-on-healing” as a form of alternative medicine that practitioners use to transfer universal energy in the form of qi (life force) through their hands, allowing for self-healing.
  • TAROT – Tarot readings use a deck of 78-cards (major and minor arcana) as a map of mental and spiritual pathways to help facilitate growth and insight.
  • ART – Artisans’ creations such as jewelry, beads, pottery, photography, paintings, clothing, handbags, crystal wands, singing bowls, textiles and more!

These are just a few of the many modalities featured at Illuminate Gettysburg. We invite you to join us!

Artsplosure 2018

to May 20

Artsplosure 2018

Since its inception in 1980, the spring festival has entertained and inspired hundreds of thousands of people, introducing them to underrepresented artists and performances. Every aspect of the festival is curated with an eye toward presenting quality art – and a healthy dose of the unexpected. The festival balances critically acclaimed national artists with some of North Carolina’s best performing and visual artists. The result is an eccentric mix of artistic expression, undoubtedly with something that appeals to everyone.

2015 marked the first year that the festival was THREE days and had the Art Market and live music stages on Fayetteville Street. Kidsplosure remained on just Saturday and Sunday and was centered in Moore Square. The free festival features dozens of events, such as:

  • The Art Market with more than 170 visual arts and crafts exhibitors from across North Carolina and the nation
  • Kidsplosure, showcasing multiple interactive educational activities and entertainment for children and their parents
  • Specially-commissioned, large-scale, interactive visual art installations
  • Aerialists and/or other unique variety performers
  • The Student Art Exhibition, showcasing two- and three-dimensional artwork of Wake County public and private middle and high school students
  • Ongoing performances by legends and rising stars from the national and regional Jazz, Blues, and Alternative music scenes, the majority of whom have never appeared in Raleigh, and emerging local and regional performers deserving of wider acclaim

This family-friendly arts festival has been described by The News & Observer as “how the Triangle celebrates Spring.” Metro Magazine has recognized Artsplosure on numerous occasions as the “Triangle to the Coast’s Best Cultural Event,” and Artsplosure was singled out for its high quality and popularity in the New York Times’ “Escapes” section in April 2007.
